First Ever “Virtual” Youth Academy
“Virtual” classes will be held every Thursday in the evenings from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.

The District Attorney Youth Academy is a program in partnership with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento County Probation Department, Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office, Rancho Cordova Police Department, Elk Grove Police Department and Galt Police Department.
Students actively learn about the criminal justice system, hear from our criminal justice partners, and engage in open communication between law enforcement and themselves concerning issues that affect youth today. Students are also educated on such topics as gangs, social media, and distracted driving.
The program is open to current Sacramento County high school students. Eligible students can apply for the academy. They must submit a completed application, signed permission slip and signed Code of Conduct agreement. Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis.
